A selfless gift towards a blood cancer-free future
The power of Leukaemia Foundation support inspired David’s commitment to improve the future for others through a gift in his Will.
Over 20 years ago, David joined the passionate Leukaemia Foundation support community by collecting for the Doorknock Appeal.
David’s volunteering gave him valuable insight into the life-changing impact that Leukaemia Foundation support has on the lives of so many Australians facing blood cancer. He heard from people sharing their lived experience and met families staying at our accommodation centres.
“To hear first-hand how much the support of the Leukaemia Foundation meant to them was incredibly powerful and had a big effect on me.”
“It made me reflect on how grateful I am that my family has never been affected blood cancer,” said David.
“There’s no greater expression of my gratitude than leaving this gift in my Will to ensure others who aren’t so lucky will be well-supported.”
The generosity of David and caring people like you is working hard to support families facing blood cancer now and in the future.
“I’ve been through research facilities and am so impressed by the work being done to find a cure, but also know this is a long-term process and that families need support now.”
“I feel incredibly content knowing that my gift will do just that and would encourage others to consider doing so.”
