The John James Blood Cancer Centre in Garran provides not only a hygienic, low-risk environment close to Canberra Hospital, but also a modern comfortable home-away-from-home for patients, their carers and families. The centre contains six purpose-designed, self-contained units, all with disabled access. Care is at hand from Leukaemia Foundation staff based on-site.

Patients, their families and carers can stay for as long as required without charge. The centre features landscaped surrounds including a vegetable garden and BBQ area, a recreation room, gym and spa.
