This webinar is for anyone wanting to have conversations with their doctor about what a blood cancer diagnosis means for their quality of life and future.  Knowledge is power that guides discussions and decisions about your treatment and how this affects you and those around you.

Guest Speaker:
Dr Ranjana Srivastava OAM (Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne)
Dr Srivastava is a Medical Oncologist & award-winning writer.  She is a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia for her contribution to the field of doctor-patient communication. She specialises in the care of older patients with cancer.

You will hear about:

  • How doctors communicate with their patients
  • How to convey your communication preferences
  • Talking about your values and preferences for care
  • How to use these suggestions for your unique situation
  • Managing future planning during recurrence / progression
  • The importance of having an Advance Care Directive
