The Leukaemia Foundation’s $10 million Bridgestone Australia Blood Cancer Centre is in Adelaide’s north eastern suburbs.

Opened in October 2013, this purpose-built complex includes 15 two and three bedroom apartments, as well as recreational facilities including a games room, gym and children’s play area.

It has been designed specifically for the special needs of people staying there, taking into account factors such as a patient’s reduced immune function during treatment and the importance of creating a supportive and relaxing environment for families at such a difficult time.

The centre is within a 15 minute drive to both the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

The Leukaemia Foundation’s Head Office for South Australia is also located on-site, giving families immediate access to care and support.

Since opening in October 2013, the centre has provided more than 35,156 nights of accommodation to more than 337 families from at least 28 regions throughout South Australia, the Northern Territory, Victoria and New South Wales*.
