Leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders can significantly affect a family's normal way of life and there may be practical things the Leukaemia Foundation can do to help.
By working together, with the doctors and social workers, we can
find out the best way to care for people affected by a blood cancer/disorder.
Practical support includes accommodation, transport or, in special circumstances, financial assistance. This limited financial support is assessed on an individual basis and may be provided for patients who are experiencing serious financial difficulties.
The Application for Assistance form is available through your local Leukaemia Foundation Support Services team, or alternatively through the social worker or nursing staff in your hospital. You can also download a copy of the Application for Assistance form here.
All applications for assistance must be supported by your treatment centre, and a copy of your application may be made avaialble to your treatment team.
Please call our Support Services team on 1800 620 420, or give details of your enquiry on the Contact Us page.
